To get myself back in ti top health again... I have felt like crapola for the past few mths and now that the baby is here, I can do to my body as I need to w/o worrying about hurting him
Duece, I think you totally stole my list lol I guess i'll be generous & share with you haha a budget is an amazing thing, started ours last yr & it really keeps us in check with our money...you never realize what you spend on crap till you have to write it down!
lol I literally write down everything we spend money on...bills first then see what money is left over after you add up all bills then substract the amt from your salary each month. seeing how much you spend compared to what you make helps to see how out of control your spending may be & where to cut back! then you use your leftover money & put it towards fast food/restaurants, movies, fun, clothes & especially savings as long as you write it down & keep track of how much you can spend a month on that...it helps! that way you can put aside reasonable amts for fun stuff without going overboard! focus on bills first then reasonably divide leftover money into different things...you can save & do some fun stuff if you budget right!
or set a goal...like let just say Disney & you wanna go in 2 yrs...you look at the leftovers after bills & see how much you'd have to save in 2 yrs to have $5,000...if you'd put $210 away a month for 2 yrs then you'd have over 5,000 & you could go on a vacation...motivators like that can help also!
Thank goodness to have some major expenses paid off in April-May timeline, then I can start tucking funds away again... and get back to where we were when we first moved back out here from Yucca Valley. I know how to budget (like said earlier), but with salary cuts/furloughs, things have gotten a bit out of hand. It will be nice to finally feel like I'm not just working to pay a bill...:-)
Mine is to look in the mirror and be happy with who i am, where i have been, and how i came to be who i am today. I dont care if i lose weight, save money ect. My goal is to find peace with in myself for once in my life, and maybe the rest of my life will follow suit.
I was doing SOOOOOOOO good, then hubs came home for R&R and then the holidays... ya, not so good! need to get back on track with it though for the move as well!

That is wonderful, and I wish you all the luck in the world!!!!!
Cool Tina, THANKS! Thats my goal for the new year, I put a lot away each month, but spend a lot, the worst part though, its frivolously on nothing! I already have too much crap, I know I don't need anytihing more, its almost like an addiction to spending, just cuz I have it!
I sit down before every paycheck...right down the amount his check will be(refer to mypay for exact amount) subtract bills and then leave 250 in the account(150 groceries...100 for different things) the rest goes straight into savings. If you are anything like us u just transfer that money out later. So check for the bank when they have really good CD deals going on with high interest rates. We did that in Feb. They had a good interest rate for about a month when you opened a "military saves" cd. You can pay anywhere from $50-$500 dollars a paycheck. It matures in a year and gets put directly into your bank account. If at anytime you choose you need the money out..you give back the interest you have collected and you keep what you put in. Its a great way to stop you from unnecessary spending bc it automatically comes out!!! cant wait for our to mature :)

very welcome =) definately find a goal to save for...that makes it more fun than just saving & helps you talk yourself out of breaking the piggy bank jar lol
My resolution is to focus on my kids and do as much as we can together during this upcoming deployment. Its gonna be a rough one for us. Also, do my best to deliver a healthy baby next summer
