yell at there kids from afar versus getting up off their butts and speaking to the toddler directly. If your child is pushing and yanking on my child, don't you think you should get your child instead of screaming at him from across the park?? Rant over
Oh ok. It has happened before, I think it is complete laziness on the mothers part. She was probably laying out and too big to get up and grab her kid.
Well I wasn't sure which one was his mom, it was like a mommy pow wow today over there. It happened 2 times and she would scream her head off and I would get up and remove my daughter from the childs hands and she just sat there. I couldn't believe the amount of screaming that went on over there this morning. I understand moms want to get together and chit chat, i get it, but really if your child is hurting another child get up and correct the situation. UGH!
I'd probably be telling my kid to stop AS I ran over there
Yes, i have done that as I was in the process of getting to my child if she was doing that. I understand children push other children, my daughter is no angel. Its just all in how parents react to it. Yelling from across the park doesn't teach the child what he/she is doing wrong. The child didn't even pay the yelling parent any mind.
My daughter can hold her own with older children, but this boy was a bit younger and she knows not to push or hit younger children. She's almost 3 and this boy was barely 2 I'd say. I know its his age, I wasn't faulting the boy, it was the yelling mom that should be teaching him instead of screaming.
Carrie, you would be AMAZED at how many parents think this behavior is ok. Thier behavior only escalates as they get older, and yes, the parents still think its ok. They teach their kids that touching/ violence is ok. Thats why the schools have so many issues dealing with this type of kid/parent. They make every excuse in the book for thier kids, even in high school! Wonder what these kids are gonna be like as adults when they are not able to take responsibility for their actions or when mommy and daddy are no longer there.

Criminals or wife beaters I'm sure. I just think the old "get down on their level and tell them what they're doing wrong" really works most times. Or a good spanking lol, I'm kidding I don't spank, but some kids need a spanking sometimes.
well, the girl's parents saw her do it, and made her give my daughter a hug and said sorry.
Awww I am glad to see they did that. See, incidents like that, where a parent steps in and acknowledges their child was wrong, are completely understandable. Kudos to good parenting!
