I love looking up new recipes b/c im a new cook, i grew up with a mom who loved to cook hamburger helper alot! so i tried this one and it was sooo yummy!! http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/The-Best-Mashed-Potatoes/Detail.aspx and another good one is fried chicken with Parmesan cheese instead of flour. If anyone else has a recipe they'd like to share with me id appreciate it.

That thread has the most recipes. We love pasta in our house, so I have TONS of pasta recipes: manicotti, lasagna, shrimp and veggie alfredo... the list goes on. I also have a few good casseroles: mexican rice, chicken green bean casserole, etc... If you want something in particular let me know :)

Can i just say i love love love cooking and would totally join like a weekly cooking club. Where we swap recipes and cook and bake... Call me a food lover...or a fatass... either is acceptable

Shrimp and Veggie Alfredo pasta (my hubby's favorite: 1 15/16 oz jar of Alfredo sauce 1/2 cup frozen or canned peas (sometimes I use asparagus instead) 1/8 of a cup chopped roasted red peppers 1 4oz can of mushrooms, drained 1/4 cup chopped onion 1/2lb cooked shrimp, maybe more maybe less depending on your preference ( you can also use chicken or even 1/4 lb prosciutto, all variations work well). 2-3 cloves sliced garlic 1 cup chicken broth 1/2lb angel hair pasta 1 tablespoon olive oil 1) Cook pasta according to package directions. 2) While pasta is cooking heat the olive oil in a large skillet. Then add the garlic,red pepper and onion and cook until the onion becomes translucent and the garlic has a light brown color. 3) Add in the peas, mushrooms, shrimp, and chicken broth. Cook on medium heat until everything is heated thoroughly and the broth has completely reduced. 4) Once the pasta is ready drain and combine with the shrimp mixture and alfredo sauce. Heat on medium until the sauce is heated. Hope you enjoy!

I have a number of vegetarian/vegan cookbooks and recipes. They are generally more healthy than other recipes. If anyone wants suggestions, let me know! I love cooking. I would also enjoy a weekly cooking club, but I could only do vegetarian options.
