So I'm having a party for my son's birthday this coming weekend. I'm looking for some new recipes. I'm doing the typical veggie tray, fruit tray with a cream cheese and marshmellow fluff dip, cheese/cracker/meat cuts tray and chips with a variety of dips (fresh gaucemole, a spicy cooked gaucemole, fresh pico de gallo and a salsa). I was thinking of having the crockpot going with meatballs but not sure if I should make swedish or sweet and sour. I'm also making smores cupcakes and a almond poundcake and chocolate poundcake. Beyond that I'm not sure lol
It's for my son's 4th birthday party. I'm looking to please both the kids and adults with the snacks. I've already double checked for food allergies but that is a great idea seeing that it's not something that crosses your mind at first.
And yes PP seeing that it's a party and I don't want to starve my guests I am thinking about food. Plus "knowing" food is a compliment to me because that means people enjoy my cooking.
build your own pizza use mini bagels or english muffins for the crust & have the kids put on their own toppings, you can put them in a toaster oven if you have one, so you don't have to turn on your oven.
