anyone do business with them? I need opinions. Im looking to buy a dresser and wondering how their prices and quality compare to other local furniture stores?

my mouth is reckless --- 14 years ago -

i bought my sons dresser from there and i paid 45 it was a 6 drawer 1...lasted us a year and 4 months....they have layaway and all...

Amapeli --- 14 years ago -

we would buy it outright cash when we pick it up. the one Im looking at is 189 but it is also a 6 drawer.... wonder why the price difference? Did you get yours on a good sale? are there better times to buy from them etc?

my mouth is reckless --- 14 years ago -

i went during christmas time right b4 my daughter was born...maybe what it was made with is diffrent not sure why that big tho...

Amapeli --- 14 years ago -

yea, I need one now and 2 later on, so were looking at buying 3 dressers. 2 of them have to match bc the babies will be in the same room and I want them to match, but my oldest son has his own room so his just needs to match his bed...lol... the babies cribs are 'almost' the same color

Harts sells lower end furniture. You get what you pay for, it'll probably last a good year.

Mari (Mod) --- 14 years ago -

The dressers might be different manufacturers, so the pricing will be different from the retail side (One may have cost Harts more to purchase than the other and with their mark-up, the price would be higher) on that particular unit. I purchased my queen size bed, a double bed, and a single box spring from Harts in March 2008, so far, so good!

I want something that will last at LEAST a few years. I bought my sons dresser he has now at target but the pieces were backwards or something...one of the drawers never went in right and yes, it was double, tripple even quadrupal checked by my husband and it was put together correctly with what we had. The drawer gets stuck quite a bit which is why we need something else. Im just tired of fighting that stupid bottom drawer...lol

I didn't find the lady helpful and I went a few times. I seemed to bother her when wanting prices out of the catalogs. I got my girls bunkbeds at Whistlewood in Yucca the man was very patient with me while I went through all the catalogs. His prices were lower too.

ditto. we got a cheap mattress/boxspring from there b/c we didnt have alot of money to spend on it, and it's fine but def cheap quality.

the furniture place here in JT (sadaro's) offers military discounts and their stuff is not that badly priced..

Amapeli --- 14 years ago -

okay, so Ill keep shopping around. The price isnt terrible, but the quality is what is the deal breaker for me. I need something to last but not outrageously priced.

We got my other daughters bed and our couch from Big Lots. I was really impressed. Where I'm from Big Lots (PicNSave back when!)has cheap junk. They have a bigger store I *think* in Cathedral City that has a ton of Broyhill overstock. Our dinette came from Kelly's Future. They are really nice there (Im kind of a customer service snob) but a little more expensive.

We bought a 7 piece bedroom set for Hart's we love it had it for 3 years and haven't had a problem with any pieces yet!! But agree i love Big lots!! We are going to be furniture shopping starting in Jan and that will be one of the first places i go.

We just purchased a living room set from Ashley Furniture from the Home Store and got a great deal with no tax and no delivery fee. They didn't have the couch we wanted when we went there and the manager just said go down to the Ashley Furniture Store in Palm Dessert and get the ID # of the couch you want come back and we will special order it for you... When we went to Ashley's the couch we wanted with delivery and everything was almost $1700 at the Home Store we got it for $1200 out the door and we got the Santa Silver's :) .

Hannah----- will they order anything ashley? Cause we are looking for a new living room set and the one we want is ashley. It would be awesome to get it tax free!!!

They're not bad, but their furniture is low quality. It's pretty cheap but only because it's low quality.

You can also go see Nancy at Hometown furniture on Adobe.

Jennifer --- 14 years ago -

yes Nancy at Hometown furniture is awesome....that is were we got our furniture....she is great on pricing will work with you and can order anything.....

we got a futon from hart furniture....it started bending within the first week we had it....they replaced it for free because the man said he shouldn't have sold us the original one in the first place because they had discontinued it....the 2nd one they gave us was not even close to our original and it sucks too....

I bought a matteress for my kids once there when they were little and it would always rip up the sheets or cut them from the metal sticking out of the matteress.
