Personally, I understand the right to freedom of speech, but I wish that some kind of exception would have been made to prevent them to spread their hate... 

each town could have an ordinance requiring protestors be so far away from churches or cemeteries..that might be a better way to handle it..imo

I dont really see how 'Thank God for Dead Soldiers' has anything to do with anti-gay protests. But thats just me. I mean unless I totally missed something. BUT I think people are feeding the fire with these idiots, and they should just be ignored. That would be my family & I. My hubby's family is full of veterans & we've had the discussion about it ever happening & let's just say they'd meet God that day. Don't come to the South with anything disrespecting our troops. It's not going to fly.

You and me both. If I lived in that town their from, I would think I would be part of the eventual group of villagers carrying pitchforks to their "church".

When they protested in McAlester, OK the police set up a very LITTLE spot about a mile and a half away from the church for them to protest. BUT even if they would have tried to get close to the church they would have had no luck, so many people came out to supposrt that fallen Marine you couldnt get down any street within 3 blocks of the church! Not to mention no one in the town would let them come in and eat at any of the food places, nor stay in any of the hotels ( excpet one place and that was because the idiots called the big boss man LOL ). They were ran out of town. One of the tires on the van was slashed and they drove as far as the could on it. Called the cops who wouldnt really help, finally got someone to tow the truck BUT once the guy got the van on his truck he put those little American flags on the windows of the van LOL! Wish I could have been there to see that! But thats whats so great about FB!

Ahahah! That sounds pretty great. There some pretty great youtube videos of people throwing drinks at them and I think there is one where in Hawaii a gay/lesbian group dressed up as flamboyant as they could and stood in front of them talking smack to them! So funny!
