I just called housing and asked the guy said Friday and Saturday quiet hours start at 11pm, all other days is 10pm. Is this correct?? The reason I'm double checking is because he said Lincoln Housing personnel wasn't in today and he "thinks" that's what it was....any definite answers will be much appreciated. TYIA. Also, is there somewhere online I can find the hours??

Kerry --- 14 years ago -

yes that is correct 11pm on weekend nights so Friday and Saturday and 10 pm the other nights

Kay1024 --- 14 years ago -

awesome thank you. We're having a get together tonight and I'm worried about the neighbors complaining (again!)

Kerry --- 14 years ago -

yea its after 11 they still might complain lol but you really can't get in trouble until after that

Most housing areas have signs posted. However, each county has it's own policies so I would call the authorities to double check for wherever you live. That and just invite your neighbors over and that solves that problem :]

Have you tried just letting your neighbors know and then asking them to come tell you if it gets a little too loud? Maybe if they have an early warning it won't bug them so much?

just invite your neighbors over and that solves that problem :]

we have invited them over to previous parties as well as other events. They never come

Jane - You gotta remember, they're the neighbors that complained about the dog??

them to come tell you if it gets a little too loud

They would be complaining before guests even got here. They come over and complain when the dog barks for 30 seconds while the kids walk home from school. Or if you park too close to their driveway, or if your vehicle on the curb is blocking their trashcans on garbage day...

wow there are people really like that on base?

Kay1024 --- 14 years ago -

unfortunately yes, and they happen to be our neighbors. God, what did I do to deserve this?!?! LOL

Wow

Complain about their complaining. Lol! Label it as harassment lol!

Kay1024 --- 14 years ago -

I have. I went to the housing office and made a complaint. Last time they "complained" at us, I was gone and apparently my hubs got heated and started yelling, well the other hubs got heated also, and ya know when guys get upset sometimes they puff up their chest and walk into each other to intimidate the other. Apparently the neighbor (husband) was doing this to my husband and trying to push his way into the house...! So I went to the housing office and filed a complaint against them. Not sure if housing will do anything, but at least it's on record now in case they try to bring PMO or housing into it.

No no. Lincln won't do anything. But the more complaints filed the more they have to do something. Every complaint counts towards it. I am a good friend with a leasing agent for Lincoln. She said its hard for them to boot someone. I know people on my street who have been booted eventually though because the complaints kept piling in. It's hard to be perfect for a neighbor everyone has different expectations so it's unfair of them to expect you to do everything the way they like it.
