Before I start I did search the topic first. =)
Is anyone attending? I want to know how accelerated is the class? Do you prefer online or in class? Have you tried both? Did you credits transfer okay to and from the Univ?

I am thinking about trying to get my Assoc. while we are here and then using Sacmar to transfer when we move to get my Bach. in accounting. Any information would be helpful.

Has anyone gotten a Pel Grant? I am going to look into it since my husband is an E6 and that is about all I could get.

I looked into it for a bit, and was also worried about the credits and my degree being taken seriously. I talked to a girl yesterday who said she went there and really liked it. But i'll be watching this thread to see if anyone replies!

I am worried about the same thing. I've always worried that it might not look good if I went to any online school. I though that employers might prefer you going to a standing school and not an online one. Do you think that's the case? I can't ask a counselor that since they are just sales people for their school, if ya know what I mean.

regionally accredited colleges if you plan on obtaining your CPA or any type of accounting license...

They are regionally accredited.

I obtained my BS in Accounting from NU and went onto obtain my MBA from them as well.

A few of the undergrad courses were hit and miss with the instructors but my grad level courses were all an awesome experience.

I attended CSUSM prior to enrolling in NU and I felt the work load was heavier and more was expected from me. That said I finished my MBA with a 3.9.

The classes are four weeks long. You can get permission to take two classes at once if your grades are good. I did it twice but made sure I paired it with a very easy class, and even still it was a LOT of work and reading.

I attended National University for both my undergrad and graduate degree and had a wonderful experience. As Running mentioned, some of the professors are hit and miss, but that is true at any university. NU is regionally accredited and their BS in Accountancy program prepares you for the CPA exam. Just to ease your mind....A degree from National does not indicate you completed your courses online. As they have mulitple campus across Southern California. Just some food for thought....National University is the second largest NON-PROFIT private university in the state.
