Ok I'm sure I'm gonna ask a question someone's already asked but here goes nothing. My husbands an E-4 and were discussing if base housing would be better for us then where we live now. We have 3 kids. No pets. We're currently living in yucca mesa in a 3 bed room house our rent is 950 plus about $200 in utilities. Lets not even mention gas for him but I work in yucca so that wouldn't really change. What do y'all think?? Base or no base? He's been in the MC 6 years but we've never lived on base. I'm not gonna lie I'm a little scared to live on base. 

Well based on the numbers you listed you'll be saving about 200/month if you move on base. That to me is a no brainer. This is the first base we've live on in 8 years and we enjoy it here. 

Ya were doing it and were offered a 4 bedroom in adobe flats. Now I wanna know what they look like anyone have an idea?? 

Is it one of the new ones or older ones? I only know what the new ones look like. 

I hope new but I'm not sure... We go in today to talk to them and (fingers crossed) see what they're offering 

Ok so got offered a house today but its in "Shadow Mountain" 4 bedroom any idea if this is an ok neighborhood??? The hubs is in the field and I don't know if I should say yes or no to the offer lol 

Shadow mountain is a nice area, right by Joshua heights. They have a big backyard. That's about all I know about them. 

Moving next week to Shadow Mountain. Im a Little scared, but Im trying to stay positive. 

How long we're you on the waiting list for housing before they got you a house? 

Like 4 days. Lol
