We are going to be using our one courtsey move to relocate from one housing area to another soon (from 2 bdrm to 3 bdrm). Has anyone here done the same recently? How is it comparable to a PCS move with DMO? Are they as strict with weight limits/ect? Is it same day load and delivery?

I will be calling DMO Monday to ask all the above questions as well, I was just looking for someone that has experienced it personally. Thank you! 

We're doing it right now. They give you the same weight limit but mostly use it as a measure for how many people, truck space, et cetera that they'll need for the move. They also give you the same number of days as usual but they should be able to move it all in a day or two, depending on how much stuff you have & when they start working. 

Just a heads up...I know of someone who was trying to move home a few months before her husband EAS's and they said they do not have the funds to move her home before his EAS because it is not a priority. So IDK how much of a priority a "courtesy" move is. Just sayin 

Thank you. I will have to get more info. Since I am pregnant and my husband will be deployed I guess I will just have to pay out of pocket. I don't really have another choice.
