Obviously, since my last incident with my soup pot, I NEED new pots and pans. The handle fell off of one of my pans today too. They are old and were really cheap so its definatly time to get new ones! I need recomendations. Im looking for something strong, sturdy, durable, and that is going to last me a lonnng time. My FIL suggested copper...but im not rich so that idea is out the window! I dont want to spend an arm and a leg but I am willing to fork out the cash for nice pots and pans! Thanks for any help or suggestions. :)

Rachel Ray's stuff is really nice. They are pricey though.
I have a nice Wolfgang Puck set I got at Sams Club for a good price.

WalMart sells Pyrex pans and they aren't expensive! I'm clumsy, so Pyrex is best for me!

There's a little store called Cooks Oasis on Adobe - on the left if you're headed toward town from base. They just opened not too long ago, but it's been a while since I was there. Cute place though. They might have something to suit what you're looking for.

Cooks oasis is now out of business.

Is rachel rays sets or paula deans better?

RaeRie (Mod) --- 12 years ago -

Personally, I'd go with Pampered Chef's pots and pans set. You can always have a PC party, and get a % off the price, too!

I recently just purchased a kitchen essentials set by calphanon! Great set! We absolutely love it!

CareBear --- 12 years ago -

I recommend Cephalon. Check TJ Maxx or Marshalls for pots and pans! They usually have nice stuff at great prices.

*Really*you*think*so* --- 12 years ago -

I bought a Rachel Ray set, and couldnt be happier. I bought them almost a year ago. They arent the ones with the colored bottoms, I have the ones that have orange handles, they are hard anodized. They cook so nice and are non stick, but if you grab a metal spoon or spatula it wont damage them.

Tabasco --- 12 years ago -

I looked these over tonight and Ive found that Paula Dean is not for me. Rachael Ray is a possibility, and PC. I am having trouble finding much on Cephalon, but I will try googling it again.

Love love my Anolon! They last a long time, as well as Calphalon. My mom has had hers for years and we love to cook and bake, so I kept quality in mind. Macys sells them and has good deals and overstock.com too.

despicableme --- 12 years ago -

Dont know about pots....and i know you said you already picked some out...but one thing that will last you forever........literally forever...i use my late grandmas(they were her moms)....cast iron skillets. Its the only thing me and my husband cook in!!! Love them. The only way you can ruin them is if you leave them in water for like ever and they rust.

Mona --- 12 years ago -

I NEED new pots and pans.

Pots go on top of the bed, pans go under the bed.......or so I've always been told...

AuroraBorednZealous --- 12 years ago -

Calphalon or T-Fal are very nice.

I cook/bake all the time & they hold up wonderfully. I can't afford a full Calphalon set since they are pricey ( but well worth it ). My hubby bought me my T-Fal set & I am very happy with them.

*Really*you*think*so* --- 12 years ago -

My Rachel Ray set is made by Calphalon. i love it. Had it for more than a year.

JaysUma --- 12 years ago -

Tfal can suck though. My parents bought us a big set for a wedding gift and they were the more exspensive line and what a waste of money it turned out to be. The top of the pots warped from heat to were you cant put the lids on to boil. So those are now are camping pots . The stainless steel sets are amazing if you can save and afford them . I will never go to anything else again!

AuroraBorednZealous --- 12 years ago -

As a wedding gift 8 yrs ago my mom bought us a 31 piece Stainless Steel cookware set with 24 karat gold handles...I used them a couple times & packed them away, they're not an everyday user pot/pan @ nearly $400 for the set.

I have the T-Fal Professional series pots/pans & the 5qt jumbo cooker. I've had them since last Christmas & have never had a problem with the craftmanship.
