Hello world

Okay. So we plan on purchasing a new [used] vehicle. Either a large sedan or SUV with good gas mileage. 2005 and up.

What are the largest/most spacious/family sedans? (My husband and I have 2 kids under age 3, and we are all tall people.)
What are some SUVs with good gas mileage? (can be small/crossover or large)

Thanks

Me too but too much money for us. Im looking at a journey but we aren't tall. as far as car anything that is a full size car. I love love my Fusion we just have outgrown it as a family i will be sad when i sell it here soon.

I love my 2005 Trailblazer (seats 7), but they don't make it anymore, I believe the Traverse took it's place but I like the Acadia better. My son says go with the Hummer H3, it's smaller, fits 5 and you can get a used one for under 20k now. It's considered a mid-sized SUV.

they have a 2007 or 2008 H3 at the Ford dealership in Yucca! its about $21K

I love my acadia...it seats 7 with middle quad seats, or 8 with a bench in the middle...and there is plenty of room. We have three kids all 5 and under.

For the life of me I can't think of what model it is, but Saturn makes a sister to the acadia. It's less then the acadia, and then Buick makes one too that is more expensive then the gmc.

Is it the outlook? I love the outlook but since Saturn isn't in business no more my husband doesn't want to buy one BOO!!!

Are you absolutely sold on a car or suv? I've had a '99 Lexus RX300, '02 Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD, '04 Ford Explorer XLT(flex fuel) & now my 1st truck, a '06 Chevy Silverado LS.

The Silverado seats 6 with plenty of leg room for everyone in the back, it's the extended cab so it has 4 full size doors like an SUV. You also have the convenience of owning a truck if you need to move large items.

to me it sounds like she is looking for something small but big at the same time, it sounds like she is worried about the gas. Which i don't blame her that is why we are looking at a Journey over a Durango

MrsH --- 7 years ago -

If gas mileage is a big concern I would recommend a VW Passat TDI. It's the turbo diesel version and the mpg are amazing!

Mz T --- 7 years ago -

Yes, concerned about something big but gas-efficient. i.e. 14mpg won't cut it!

DO Not buy s VW..Not good cars

MrsH --- 7 years ago -

My hubs and I love our VW!

31Flavors --- 7 years ago -

Not good cars..My uncle works there and he says NOPE.

MrsH --- 7 years ago -

Everyone is going to have their own opinions but my own personal experience has been good. The VW we have is our 3rd vehicle and soley our commuter car. It has sooooo many miles on it and it runs perfect.
