wife to another. What one piece of advice would you give a new Marine wife?

Kerry --- 14 years ago -

Careful who you trust

CareBear --- 14 years ago -

Make quality friends.

Also, those that you gossip to, will gossip about you.

~KALMs~Momma~ --- 14 years ago -

Get used to them being gone quite a bit...

The Paparazzi --- 14 years ago -

Just because our men are home from deployment, doesn't mean they're actually home. If it's not one training op, it's another. So don't take your time together for granted. :)

Hollaicious --- 14 years ago -

Support your husband. Always have a cold beer and a warm meal waiting for him :)

Kerry --- 14 years ago -

a warm meal waiting for him :)

Disagree with that one, especially if he is with 3/4 LOL!!!! They never get off when they are suppose to it would be a cold MEAL at my house!!!

That was one of our wedding presents from my Dad! LOL!

* andie * --- 14 years ago -

Disagree with that one, especially if he is with 3/4 LOL!!!!

So true. One night they're off by 4, and the next they're off at 8. So unpredictable! lol

Kerry --- 14 years ago -

I don't cook until he gets home unless i know it will be a late night, if he isn't home by 630 i start cooking.

MrsRomanNoodles --- 14 years ago -

They may call you a dependent, but you will need to learn to be successfully INdependent to make it in this lifestyle.

Or OnStar. LOL. I've tried getting rid of it to save money, and the husband won't let me. Ha!

Jenna --- 14 years ago -

Hope for the best, expect the worst. Story of my life. :- )

01Marine01 --- 14 years ago -

You married a Marine! Nothing is ever normal or what they say. Take it like a Marine wife when it doesn't and appreciate when it does

Jenna --- 14 years ago -

Or OnStar
Aww, OnStar is a standard in our truck and I've always wanted to activate it, but it's way too expensive.

Kerry --- 14 years ago -

Hope for the best, expect the worst.

This is a very good one!!

kElJoY --- 14 years ago -

ALWAYS keep all of your addresses in the front of your address book for easy access. Handy to have for security clearances.

You peeps DO KNOW what an actual address "book" is....right?

CareBear --- 14 years ago -

Handy to have for security clearances.

And background checks should you ever work for MCCS. lol

Haha! And always write your military friends addresses in pencil. They change way too often! ;)
