TWENTYNINE PALMS - News Channel 3 confirms a Combat Center Marine, Sgt. Winsly Leonce, has been charged with kidnapping, criminal threats, and discharging a firearm within the city limits. The charges stem from a story we first brought you on Monday night. The horrific story told by Ashleigh Wallace begins when she and two girl friends met "Leo" for the first time at a Twentynine Palms bar late Saturday night. San Bernardino Sheriff's Deputies say Leo is 26 year-old Winsly Leonce of 29 Palms. Ashleigh's friends had left her there and at the end of the evening Leonce accused her of stealing his laptop and TV. Ashleigh says when she wouldn't fess up to the crime, they kidnapped her and put her in a car. According to deputy reports, the three girls went back to Leonce's 29 Palms house on the 6900 block of Park Avenue early Sunday morning for an after party. Wallace says, Leo, his friend, Mike and a third heavy-set man drove her around 29 Palms for three hours. At one point she says they drove her to the desert with a gun to her head. They eventually went back to Leo's house where she says after making a call to 9-1-1, the operators were able to locate her using the GPS on her phone. Deputies surrounded the house and arrested Leonce. Winsly Leonce is being held at the Morongo Basin Jail on a $250,000 bond for kidnapping. No word on the two other men allegedly involved in the crimes.

Who knows the whole story, things are never what they seem. Who knows maybe she did go with them, and they wanted her to take them to there stuff. To me its really dumb to go to a strangers house who you meet at a bar. But who knows maybe her and her friends had a plan, go to his house and take his stuff. But her friends left without her. I dont know. I just dont think we can judge the situation when we dont know what happened. Who knows if they even took her out to the desert. Maybe she made that up. If you are going to hang around people that steal,you should expect bad things to happen. But the marine was in the wrong for discharging his gun. I could see why he would bring it with him to get his stuff back though 

There are always three sides to the story. Each side and somewhere in the middle the truth. IF the Sgt did these things, then his arrest is justified and it does not matter that he is a Marine. There are criminals in the Military as well. Look at the Cherrypoint marine who killed the girl he got pregnant so his wife would not know about the affair.

No I am refereing to Cherrypoint, there is another case on Lejeune as well. My pont is that military or not if a crime is committed there is no special treatment, and many times the military will sever the relationship ie. Dishonorable discharge, and allow the civilian court the prosecution. 

I dont know. I just dont think we can judge the situation when we dont know what happened. Yet your entire posts is placing the blame on her??? hmmmmmmmmm We don't know the entire story so it makes no sense to blame either party, let the facts all come out. There was enough evidence for the arrest and that is all we know. And yes, inncoent people can be arrested. 

How Long Ago Was This ? 

A couple of weeks ago. 

Thats because everything that has came out has been to judge the marine involved. I do agree if he is guilty and did do all those horrible things than fry him. In the media when something bad happens and a Marine is involved they are always portrayed in a very bad way. I just wanted to put out other possibilities. If it is different this guy will always be remembered as the guy that did these things, even if it comes out he didnt. I think we should be able to know what is going on in our community but than its hard cause people are judged right away by what the media says. There is no way to know what really happened, but I guess that is just the way it goes. I had a friend when I was in high school who a girl accused him of rape. It never happened, they had never even had sex, but because she accused him, and there was a story written on it, he is always known as that guy who raped the girl. It was big news when she accused him and when they found out she was lying, the media didnt say a word. It follows him every where he goes. 

In the media when something bad happens and a Marine is involved they are always portrayed in a very bad way. Becoming a Marine is an honor, the USMC touts the fact they only choose the best. Unfortunately in our sick society we like to watch the best of the best fall. Second we live in a military community, with that being said much of the news both good and bad involve someone of the military or their familiy member. I had a friend when I was in high school who a girl accused him of rape. The my first husband had the affair with a marine and got caught red handed she cried Rape, they were both Marines. That is something women have done for years and longer, its not accepatable and at his Court Martial the truth would come out. The reason this got me, was because I have been a victim of a violent crime, and during the trial I was on trial. The defense team tried to place the blame on me the victim, who had been beaen, raped and left for dead. It was my fault for the underwear I wore, and sleeping in my own bed in my own house, in my own underwear, when he climb through my window. Its important for the facts to come out in their entirety and truthfully. Throwing stones at the victim or the accused does nothing but muddy the water. And who gets a fair trial?? 

I know this was a long time ago, but I think it is only fair for the Marine to set the record straight. The victim in this case turned out to be a lying, whore. She gave her statement five times over the course of 2 weeks, and every time it changed, drastically. Basically the Marines did get in trouble for that night but what they actually ended up getting into trouble for had nothing to do with kidnapping that girl. Her and her friends really did rob them. They came back to their house to "Party", someone went in through the sliding door to the master bed room, and took a tv, and laptop, put it in their trunk, and came right back in and partied some more. They eventually left, but the girl stayed behind as a decoy. When they noticed the stuff missing, she begged them not to call the police, saying she would help get their stuff back. She then took them on a wild goose chase around town until she had them stop at Santanas in 29 Palms where her accomplices showed up and shot at the Marines. There was an exchange, and although no one was hurt, that is what the Marines got in trouble for: The shooting, because the other men were never caught, and the Marines had no reason to lie about defending themselves when being shot at, they told the truth, and were punished for it. One of the Marines had actually called 9-1-1 themselves that night to report the burglary, while the girl was with them. The fact is that by the time it came out the girl was a loose, lying piece of sH*t, they had already been locked up for a such substantial enough amount of time, and the county had put so much behind the girl's story, they didn't want the law suit, and oh yeah..it was election year for the locals, that they ruined 2 good Marines lives. But the charges had nothing to do with that girl in the end, because the county/state had absolutely no case. The girl is truly trash who gets pregnant by anyone who she thinks she can get something from. She has 6 children by 5 different men, and while pregnant with her latest meal ticket she led a group beating of an un-suspecting woman, and threatened others with a taser, at a house party a few months ago. This post may sound like there is bias, but I assure everything here is fact, and all of it but the last part is public record, but the latter can be backed up by several locals, and Marines in 29 Palms. The only thing that girl is a victim of is believing her own lies/
