So, I went to my WIC appointment today & got DENIED!!! Please Note: If your hubby goes on deployement, they now count, as of 4-5 months ago, your husband/wifes basic pay, BAS & now their deployment pay. They told me that I can apply again in a couple months when he comes home from deployment and his pay goes back to normal. Also, they changed the eligible incomes for the months of April to June. And, they are going to change it again, either in June or July 1. So frusturating!!!! 

Interesting... we got approved, but I am pregnant so maybe that is why... 

we just got denied as well. My husband is not deployed and we have been with wic for a while now. The lady said we make 80 dollars too much, but they were gonna redo the income requirements in june.

they a=said that we made too much as well last year when i went. some low amount like 57 buck or something. Now we sure wont make the cut even if i had 2 kids and was pregant. :(

ok thanks! how far in advance do you need to do it before the baby is expected? we dont need it for the food part (peanut butter eggs etc) just the formula. 

Here is the Wic Income Guildines. That will give you a good basis for if you will qualify or not. You won't actually receive formula until after the baby is born and you take him/her in to the appointment with you.

I would doubt an E6 would qualify

friends of ours qualify for wic and they are e6 with a household of 6. maybe it depends on how many in a household..i dunno 

We didn't qualify when my husband was a sgt with four kids...but I also worked.

WIC takes for income eligiblity: (was told by the worker today)... they take your BASIC PAY, BAS & if your spouse is on deployment, they take your FSA (Family Seperation Pay). They will be having a new eligibility chart come June 2010. They told me to reapply then and the worker kind of had a the nerve to tell me to have another child to qualify or adopt??? Kind of crazy. 

Oh, and I have a family of 5.
